Climbing or trailing perennial tendril vine to 4m with simple tendrils, tuberous rootstock, stems with whitish hairs. 5-angled or 5-lobed leaves to 145mm x 180mm with denticulate margins, may have bracts to 1.5mm. Male flowers solitary or in 150mm clusters, yellow with green veins, bracts to 1mm, calyx lobes to 5mm long, yellow to orange corolla to 22mm long, lobes to 13mm long, female flowers solitary or paired similar to male. Fruit 89mm x 43mm bright red with green markings
