Herbaceous perennial climber or creeper to 4m with glabrous or hairy stems. 3-5 lobed leaves to 97mm x 166mm with denticulate margins, white pustulate above, glabrous beneath, occasionally with bracts to 3.5mm, simple tendrils. 1-3 flowered male racemesmay have bracts to 2.5mm, calyx lobes to 7mm, yellow-buff corolla to 25mm long with lobes to 112mm, solitary female flowers similar to male. Orange to red glabrous fruit to 62mm x 28mm.
