Perennial tuberous climber or creeper to 6m with hairy stems. 3-5 lobed leaves to 110mm x 170mm with dentate margins, glabrous above & with indumentum beneath, bracts to 3mm long, simple tendrils. Male flowers clustered, calyx lobes to 4mm, yellow to pale orange corolla to 13mm, lobes to 6mm, female flowers solitary or paired, similar to male. Red fruit to 65mm long.
