Perennial climber or trailer to 10m with whitish-tomentose stems. 3-5 lobed white-pubescent leaves to 125mm x 145mm, serrate to lobed margins with bracts to 1.5mm & simple tendrils.Orange flowers, male flowers solitary or in racemes with bracts to 1.5mm, calyx lobes to 3mm, yellow-brown to orange corolla to 24mm long with lobes to 10mm, female flowers solitary but similar. Orange-red fruit to 90mm x 35mm, immature pale green fruit striped dark green.

Medicinal, tubers eaten, greens eaten, ripe fruit edible
