Scandent herbaceous vine, branchlets with stinging hairs to 3mm long. Leaves to 100mm x 40mm with stinging hairs on both surfaces. Male flowers with sepals 3mm x 4mm, female flower with sepals to 10mm long, 7mm wide. Fruit brown to 12mm diameter with stiff white stinging hairs.
