Scandent villous or glabrous twining perennial herb to 1.2m or shrub, brown-hairy stems. Trifoliate leaves glabrous above pubescent beneath, mucronate glabrous leaflets. Solitary or 3-flowered axillary inflorescence with bracts, of 60mm long pale blue or lilac & flesh coloured flowers, 5-lobed calyx tube to 15mm long, lobes to 7.5mm, standard to 60mm long, notched at apex, wings 10mm x 7mm, keel 10mm x 5mm. Flat pod to 100mm long x 8mm
