Hairy herbaceous slightly woody twining or trailing pilose herbaceous vine, young stems becoming glabrate, perennial rhizome. Trifoliolate leaves, glabrous above, sericeous beneath, leaflets to 90mm x 50mm. Axillary solitary or few-flowered racemes or cymes with bracts 5mm long & bractlets 8mm long, 50mm yellow or white flowers with red veins or white with violet-veined throat, calyx to 20mm long with teeth to 10mm long, standard 60mm long with violet or red lines in centre, pilose outside, wings & keel 20mm long. Pubescent glabrate falcate legume 60mm long x 11mm.
