Scandent perennial high-climbing twining or erect glabrous shrub or tree. Coriaceous leaflets to 120mm long, glabrous above & rarely pubescent beneath. Few-flowered inflorescence with bracts to 4mm long & coriaceous bractlets to 18mm long. 75mm white to rose-purple flowers with deep blue lines & white, white or pale pink standard petals with darker veins to 80mm long, pungent odour. Glabrous legume to 150mm x 16mm
