Annual herbaceous tendril vine climbing or creeping to 10m, with villous or glabrous stems, scarcely scandent or prostrate herb with tendrils to 5-branched. 3-5 lobed deeply divided leaves to 200mm x 190mm, lanate pubescent above, puberulous beneath. Staminate & pistillate solitary 30mm pale yellow flowers, 5-lobed calyx, corolla yellow within, greenish without. Fruits to 600mm x 300mm, greenish, variously spotted.
