Wide-climbing herbaceous hairy climber, stem with reddish ferrugineous hairs, bifid tendrils, velvety denticulate foliage, lobed leaves 125mm x 125mm tomentose beneath. Leaf-opposed or terminal pseudo-umbels or cymes of yellowish flowers 4mm diameter, velvety calyx, 4-petalled corolla to 2.5mm long x 1mm wide, densely velvety outside, glabrous within, glabrous fruit blue-black at maturity 7mm x 5mm
