Liana with glabrous or sparsely puberulent stems, older stems winged. Glabrous tendrils with several bifid branches & adhesive discs. Ternate leaves, central leaflet glabrous to puberulent to 129mm x 79mm. Glabrous to rarely puberulent inflorescence with triangular bracts to 2mm long, greenish to rarely red or yellow flowers with red spots, fleshy glabrous calyx to 1.5mm x 5mm, corolla glabrous to rarely puberulent 2mm x 3mm, glabrous to puberulent petals. Sparsely puberulent purple fruit 10mm x 7mm
