Woody tendril liana with bifid tendrils, ferriginou-tomentose branches & inflorescence. Branchlets ridged, glabrescent stems, villous dentate mucronate leaves. Leaf-opposed umbels or corymbs of red or yellow flowers, 4 petals to 2mm, fruit a purple-black berry to 10mm long x 7mm.
