Slender twining dioecious rhizomatous herb or subshrub with striate glabrous to pilose stems. Leaves 145mm x 170mm, glabrous above pubescent beneath. Male greenish to yellow flowers in axillary pubescent panicles or cymes with bracts & minute bracteoles, to 400mm long. Whitish staminate flowers with 4 sepals to 2.8mm x 1.1mm & corolla to 1.2mm x 1.2mm. Female inflorescence a false raceme to 350mm long, 6 flowers per fascicle, with bracts to 22mm x 22mm, flowers with 1 sepal to 2.8mm x 1mm long & 1 petal to 0.9mm x1.1mm. Red hairy drupe 6mm x 5mm.
