Perennial bamboo with decumbent or scandent culms to 20m with aerial roots from nodes. Glabrous leaves to 25mm x 4mm. Panicles to 60mm x 40mm, spikelets to 12mm x 3mm, glumes to 6mm long, sterile florets 5mm long
