Sometimes scandent tree to 5m, sparsely spiny with spines to 15mm long. Leaves to 50mm x 25mm, pilose above becoming glabrate, strigose beneath. Axillary solitary 30mm creamy white flowers or fascicles with calyx 2.5mm long, strigose outside & lobes 1.5mm long, white corolla strigose outside with tube to 9mm long & lobes to 5mm long
