Sometimes climbing shrub or tree to 9m with spines, lenticellate spiny branches.Pilose leaves glabrous above with hoary tomentum on veins beneath 80mm x 40mm. Few-flowered cymes of fragrant yellowish-white flowers with small bractlets, pilose calyx 3mm long with lobes to 1.5mm long, yellowish-white corolla with tube 22mm long & lobes 6mm long. Juicy fruit a black strigillose drupe 12mm long
