Liana or clambering woody or sometimes erect shrub mostly glabrous to 5m with vertically ribbed older stems. Leaves glabrous above, puberulous beneath 180mm x 85mm. Creamy-white or greenish to purple flowers 4mm long, tepals 3mm long in axillary or terminal panicles to 200mm x 20mm with mucromate bracts to 2mm long, mucronate sepals to 4mm long, green fruits turning white or dark pink, woody twiner.
