Herbaceous twining climber with glabrous stems, branches velvety-pubescent. Glabrous or pubescent mucronulate leaflets, 5-7 leaflets to 20mm long . Solitary or paired axillary prickly inflorescence to 25mm long, yellow flowers to 14mm long, glabrous calyx to 8mm long with a few bristles, yellowish corolla, standard petal to 17mm x 15mm, keel to 6.5mm wide. Pubescent or glabrous legume to 2mm wide with 6 or more jointed segments.
