Tuberous twiner with glabrous or puberulous stems, mucronulate glabrous leaves to 70mm x 40mm, glabrous above, puberulous on veins beneath, glabrous axillary cymes or umbels with minute bracts, light purple to green flowers on outside, deep maroon inside. Glabrous sepals to 2mm long x 0.5mm, corolla 20mm long, tube inflated at base4.5mm diameter at base, 3.5mm above with funnel-shaped mouth 7mm diameter, green & glabrous outside, purplish or reddsh-brown & sparsely hairy inside, tailed corolla lobes lobes 20mm x 3mm incurved over mouth of tube like a globe green with long purple hairs inside, white tinted mauve outer corona margined red 1mm long with hairy 10 teeth 0.5mm long, inner coronal lobes 3mm long x 0.5mm slghtly hairy & white tinted mauve at base
