Twiner with tuberous root, pubescent stems, pilose-pubescent leaves to 85mm x 55mm, sub-axillary pubescent umbels or cymes with pubescent bracts to 6mm long, hairy sepals to 7mm x 1.5mm, pilose brown corolla 24mm long with yellow tips, glabrous tube 14mm long x 3.5mm, 4mm diameter at mouth, blackish-purple within, [puberulous above, lobes 10mm long pubescent on back glabrous inside greenish-black within, glabrous outer coronal lobes 2.5mm long, inner coronal lobes 2.5mm long
