Scandent herb, subshrub or glabrous shrub with glabrous crenate leaves or bristly pubescent beneath to 290mm x 75mm. 5-12 flowered terminal racemes 120mm long with puberulent bracteoles 70mm x 45mm, scarlet, crimson, yellow or orange flowers with bracts to 25mm x 25mm, puberulent sepals to 8mm long, puberulent corolla tube to 55mm x 13mm wide, upper lobes to 5mm x 12mm long, lower lobes to 8mm long, filament tube to 58mm long, pubescent outside, berry 12mm diameter
