Herbaceous tendril vine with angled climbing stems to 6m, with simple or branched tendrils. Thick scabrous 3-angled or 3-lobed toothed leaves to 100mm across. Axillary staminate & pistillate flowers together, triangular sepals to 3mm long, yellow or greenish-white corolla to 60mm across. Crimson or orange berry to 20mm long.
