Monoecious herbaceous simple, bifid or trifid tendril climber. 3-7 lobed leaves to 170mm x 200mm. Yellow staminate flowers in panicles with small bracteoles, sepals to 0.5mm x 0.5mm, petals to 5mm x 1.5mm. Axillary panicles of yellow female flowers, sepals to 0.5mm x 0.5mm, petals to 3mm x 1mm. Red glabrescent fruit with 10 longitudinal black & green grooves to 11mm x 11mm.
