Slender annual monoecious, glabrous woody bifid or simple-tendril climber with angular glabrous stems. Palmate 5-7 lobed toothed leaves 175mm diameter. Fascicles of small yellow male flowers with pubescent corolla, calyx tube to 2mm long with lobes to 1mm, corolla lobes to 2mm. Female flowers solitary with corolla to 6mm diameter. Globose brick red berries with white vertical stripes or green striped yellow to 25mm diameter.
