Tall bifid or more branched herbaceous monoecious tendril climber, grooved angled & slightly scabrid hairy branches. 3-5 lobed palmate leaves to 120mm x 120mm, lobes toothed & scabrid both surfaces to 40mm x 10mm. Solitary male flowers or in fascicles, sepals to 2mm long, corolla to 1mm with wings to 12mm x 5mm. Solitary or fasciculate female flowers, petals to 6mm long. Axillary solitary or paired glabrous fruit to 25mm x 10mm.
