Liana or hemi-epiphytic vine or shrub with branches to 1.5m. Coriaceous leaves to 80mm x 20mm, glabrous above, hirsute on midrib beneath. Axillary soliatary racemes with bracts of 20-30 flower. Floral bracts pink to red to 25mm x 6mm, calyx 6mm long with lobes to 2mm long, red to deep wine red corolla to 15mm long.
