Herbaceous glabrous or pubescent woody liana or perennial deciduous vine with bifurcate or trifid tendrils, branchlets usually pourplish. 3-7 foliolate, dentate mucronate glabrous leaflets, puberulent beneayh with awned serratures, terminal leaflets to 145mm x 45mm, lateral leaflets smaller. Axillary or terminal dichasia or cymes to 120mm across of greenish-yellow or salmon-colour flowers, 4 white or green petals to 3.5mm long. Fruit a dull pink, black or cream berry to 12mm diameter.
