Sometimes scandent & sprawling woody shrub to 15m, hairy young growth. Coriaceous glabrescent leaves to 140mm x 80mm. Terminal or axillary panicles to 100mm long with bracts & bracteoles, of fragrant white flowers with bracts, calyx lobes to 1.5mm long, red corolla tube 10mm x 2mm with hairy throat and red or yellow lobes with pink spot to 8mm x 4mm. Axillary infructescence 150mm long, grooved green fruit pods 200mm x 20mm.
