Annual or biannual sometimes scandent herbaceous low climber to 4m with furrowed glabrous stems, puberulous young growth, tendrils. Biternate leaves, leaflets to 24mm x 18mm. White flowers to 4mm long in 100mm axillary cymes. Inflated 3-chambered capsules to 10mm x 20mm, finely pubescent with membranous wings.

Medicinal uses, seeds produce essential oil, leaves used to make drink
