Shrub or climber to 1.8m with leaves to 150mm x 70mm, glabrate above, strigose beneath. 5-8 flowered fascicles, white or cream flowers with violet centre, flowers to 5mm long, calyx to 2.5mm. Green fruit turning red smelling peppery, 7mm diameter.
