Climbing or creeping liane or shrub to 4m with spines to 5mm long. Glabrous leaves to 140mm x 55mm. Terminal corymbs or racemes with 4mm long bracts, orange-yellow puberulous sepals to 12mm x 11mm, light red petals to 15mm x 9mm puberulous towards base on both sides. Deep yellow woody fruit 35mm in diameter.
