Glabrous shrub or vine to 3m with thin recurved spines to 4mm long, glabrous stems. Glabrous mucronulate leaves to 70mm x 40mm. Axillary solitary inflorescence to 3-flowered, white flowers to 7mm x 2mm, glabrous sepals to 5mm x 3mm, petals to 7mm x 2mm. Globose fruit red 10mm diameter.
