Fruiting Times
Scrambling sometimes scandent thorny woody shrub to 6m, with glabrescent young branches, slightly zigzag. Hooked brownish recurved spines to 5mm long or unarmed. Mucronate coriaceous leaves glabrescent above, pubescent beneath or glabrous to 100mm x 40mm. Lateral or terminal racemes or umbels to 25 flowers with small hairy bracts, scented greenish-white flowers, white petals 8mm x 3mm more or less pubescent, glabrous sepals to 6mm x 5mm. Green globose glabrous fruit maturing red or black to 15mm diameter.
