Climber or shrub to 3m with thin thorns, glabrous branches, pubescent branchlets. Coriaceous leaves glabrous or sparsely hairy above & hairy beneath to 190mm x 50mm. Axillary subumbels or terminal umbels to 60mm long with 4-6 flowers, with inconspicuous bracts, white or pale pink flowers with persistent sepals to 6mm long, outer pair 6mm diameter, inner sepals 7mm diameter, petals 4mm x 3mm. Glossy leathery black fruit to 20mm x 15mm.
