Scandent shrub to 10m, recurved spines to 2mm. Glabrous leaves to 165mm x 45mm. Axillary or terminal 4-7 flowered corymbs, 4 pale green sepals to 6mm x 4.5mm, 4 white-green petals aging violet to 9mm x 3.5mm. Dark violet fruit to 50mm diameter.
