Liana with twining branches. Trifoliolate leaves, leaflets to 80mm x 54mm. Inflorescence to 90mm long of 4-15 flowers. Red-purple pea-like flowers, lobed calyx to 28mm long, 5 rose-purple petals to 47mm long. Flattened pod to 160mm x 35mm.
