Deciduous glabrous woody climber to 12m with radicant branches, aerial roots. Imparipinnate leaves with 7-11 leaflets, glabrate serrated pointed leaflets to 60mm long. Few-flowered terminal racemes or corymbs of orange or red flowers, calyx to 18mm long, red & orange or yellow within corolla to 90mm long, limb 50mm long. Spindle-shaped brown capsule to 125mm long.
