Perennial herbaceous slightly woody twining downy or glabrous climber or creeper, blackish stems or white-tomentose later glabrescent. Glabrous or hairy mucronulate simple denticulate leaves with puberulous veins, to 170mm x 120mm slightly villous above, more so beneath sometimes lobed. Axillary umbels, corymbs or cymes of 1-40 flowers, with minute bracts, of 35mm scented white or orange-yellow flowers to 40mm long with yellow eye, glabrous coriaceous mucronate yellow-green sepals to 13mm x 8mm, lobes of yellow corolla bearded at top, corolla villous outside to 40mm x 20mm, tube to 5mm across. 4-valved brown glabrous or silky tomentose fruit capsule to 12mm x 8mm with persistent sepals.
