High-climbing herbaceous shrub with twining stems. Leaves palmately 3-7 lobed to 200mm long. Inconspicuous panicles or racemes of purple or greenish yellow flowers, pistillate panicles shorter than staminate panicles, 6 sepals to 2.5mm long, no petals. Fruit black berry to 25mm long
