Climbing or erect shrub to 20m, pubescent or glabrous lenticellate branchlets. Glabrescent leaves 170mm x 100m glabrous above pubescent beneath. Axillary 1-5 flowered cymes or fascicles with purple-green bracts to 32mm long, white sweetly scented flowers with maroon lines inside, calyx 12mm long, outer sepals hairy to 45mm x 35mm, inner sepals to 15mm x 9mm, pubescent or pilose 5-lobed cream corolla often purplish-veined 50mm x 40mm with lobes to 5mm long. Glabrous fruit 12mm long, covered by persistent sepals.
