Fruiting Times
Straggling shrub, tree or climber to 10m, stems hairy becoming glabrate, spiny branches, spines to 30mm long. Hairy or glabrate leaves to 200mm x 65mm with serrate margins. Axillary many-flowered cymes to 70mm x 65mm with bracts to 3mm long & bracteoles to 1mm long, 4-toothed greenish calyx 1.3mm x 1.1mm with 4 lobes, pale pink to lilac, purple or white corolla to 2.5mm long with tube 1.3mm long, 4 lobes to 0.75mm long, hairy outside. Glabrous fruit maturing white or pink to 3mm x 3mm, subtended by reduced calyx.
