Scandent shrub, tree or rampant woody climber to 6m, grey-pubescent young growth, ridged stems. 5-9 foliolate leaves to 250mm long, leaflets to 150mm x 70mm, glabrous above silky beneath. Villous terminal panicles or racemes to 200mm x 150mm of 18mm long grey-silky red or mauve flowers, white outside, calyx to 5mm x 5mm, silky petals, standard 8mm scross Grey-pubescent or red-villous seed pod to 130mm long x 25mm.
