Twining, creeping or erect shrub with woody rhizome, strigillose puberulent branches, to 1m. Coriaceous leaves to 70mm x 20mm, pilose above, glabrous beneath. Axillary inflorescence with bracts, yellow flowers to 20mm long, puberulent calyx lobes to 6mm x 4mm, upper corolla lip 2.5mm long, lower lip 16mm long. Brownish fruits with persistent style
