Fruiting Times
Spiny climbing clustering rattan palm to 15m. Leaf sheaths armed with spines to 20mm long, leaves to 2m long with spiny margins & with scattered spines to 20mm long, 14mm spines in middle, with leaflets 300mm x 28mm. Male inflorescences spadix to 2.5m with armed spathes, male flower 2mm with 3-lobed calyx. Female spadix to 3m, female flower 3mm long inclined at 40º, 3-lobed calyx. Fruit 10mm diameter with straw-coloured scales & sjort beak. l
