Solitary climbing rattan palm to 4m. Stem sheaths covered in black spines to 30mm. Leaf to 1.2m long, about 100 bristly leaflets each side to 150mm x 6mm. Inflorescences to 160mm long. Beaked fruit 17mm x 14mm.
