Fruiting Times
Spiny climbing clustering rattan palm to 6m. Leaves to 700mm with segments 300mm x 30mm. Spiny male & female spadix to 1.1m, spiny spathes, male flower 3mm long with 3-lobed calyx to 1.5mm long, yellowish corolla longer than caly. Female spadix to 1.5m with spathes, spikelets to 70mm, female flower 3mm long inclined at 45ยบ, brown-black or whitish 3-lobed calyx, 3-lobed corolla enveloped by calyx. Fruit 10mm diameter.
