Climbing & creeping armed palm to 20m. Leaf segments 260mm x 14mm. Spiny male spadix with spathe to 250mm, male flowers 4mm long with brown calyx 2.5mm long & 3 lobes, corolla with segments to 4mm. Female spadix resembles male, female flower 3mm long corolla with 3 segments, male & hermaphrodite flowers. Fruit 13mm x 10mm.
