Climbing rattan palm to 20m. Sheaths armed with spines to 15mm. Leaf to 2m long with cirrus to 800mm long, about 50 leaflets each side, bristly leaflets to 250mm x 10mm. Inflorescence to 400mm with branches to 120mm. Mature fruit to 10mm diameter.
