Climber. Leaf to 3.7m long with armed sheath, spines to 12mm x 0.5mm. 2-3 leaflets each side, leaflets to 290mm x 40mm armed with minute spines. Staminate inflorescence to 360mm long with branches to 60mm long with up to 10 rachillae, rachillae to 21mm x 1mm with minute bracts, flowers to 2.5mm x 1.4mm, calyx 1.4mm diameter, 3 lobes to 0.6mm x 1mm, corolla 1mm x 1mm. Pistillate inflorescence similar to 160mm long with rachillae to 4mm x 2mm, bracts to 2mm x 2mm, flowers to 2.5mm x 1.7mm, calyx to 1.7mm diameter, 3 lobes to 0.6mm x 0.7mm, corolla 2.2mm x 1.3mm with 3 lobes 0.6mm x 0.7mm.
