Climber to 20m. Leaf sheath with spines to 13mm long, flagellum to 1.5m long. Leaf to 950mm long with 6-8 leaflets per side, largest to 230mm c 85mm. Inflorescences to 1m long with terminal flagellum to 400mm long. Staminate rachillae to 15mm x 1mm, pistillate to 30mm x 2mm. Staminate flower to 5mm x 1.75mm with calyx lobes 1mm x 1mm & petals 4.5mm x 1.5mm. Pistillate flowers with calyx 2mm x 2mm, lobes 1mm long, petals 3mm x 1.8mm. Fruit 18mm x 11mm including beak 3mm x 1.5mm.
